Thank you to the kids who came to the party! And a special "Thank You" to Oasis staff and members who made it a successfully fun Halloween party for the kids!!
It really starts to feel like winter when the swans return to Morioka! Heard their honking this morning while walking Chip and then looked up to see them flying back from where ever they go every Spring. I've heard Siberia?
It seems that the local schools around Aoyama are going to have classes as usual on April 29th, even though it's one of those red days on the calendar! I would guess that instead they'll close on the following Monday and make their Golden Week holidays longer. Good idea!
We had scheduled our Kids Easter lunch for Friday, April 29th but since no one can come!! We have post poned it until Sunday, May 8th!
I've heard that this is one of the biggest ever experienced?! In Morioka we are fortunate to have recieved very little damage and injuries. I hope that all Oasis members and their families are safe and well.
It's that dreaded time a year again! Filing income taxes in Japan. While going through this horrible experience once again I realized that the Japanese government, offering such a system of doing taxes offers people an alternative to paying an accountant's fee and to do their taxes themselves.. A little time consumingt, but for no cost there are people that can provide assistance throughout the whole process. For free!
I think that I'll feel more appreciation for the tax filing system in Japan next time!
