Pastello in Morioka 2018

Thank you very much for coming to Pastello!
We had a good time together as we do every year.

This year's theme was "Cyanotype". It is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. The process uses two chemicals. 

They put on some plants and paper which they cut into their favorite form onto a cloth which has been soaked in chemicals. The cloth is then exposed to sunlight. Luckily, it was  very good weather for our craft. Everyone  concentrated to make and they did a very very good job!

We went to the park behind Oasis for lunch. We ate Dale's handmade hamburgers! It was very delicious as usual! Thank you very much every year!

A Nigerian Lunch with Suleiman and family

Thank you very much for coming to the Cooking event!
We had good time together.
We made Nigerian food "Jellof Rice with Spicy Chicken and plantains" by Suleiman. Jellof Rice was like spicy pilaf. We used curry powder and lot of special spices. Plantains is almost the same as regular bananas. But a little different with bananas that we know in Japan. They are not sweet.  We mashed and fried them. And also simply sliced and fried them. Both were delicious! Everything was so good!
