The city name Porto is from "Port" and Portugal's name was from "Porto". It's not capital but Portugal's history started from here. Porto is not such a big city and we were able to walk just about everywhere within the city. I stayed 2 nights in another rented apartment for less than 20,000 yen for 4 people. Very cheap! It had a good location and a nice room.
I met my friend there and we were together for 4 days. She came from Japan and she was on her way to Morocco from Portugal. The Tapas restaurant we went to our first night was great! Wine too! All the food was very good in Porto. Like Japan they also have pig tripe stew!
